Locanda in Tuscany

We’ve stayed at close to a dozen places in Tuscany over the last couple of weeks and this is one of the best. We hope to come back. Our room was beautiful, well appointed, incredibly comfortable and warmed by a roaring fire. The setting is lovely with views of rolling hills and fields. The inn’s restaurant is excellent. Staff were uniformly superb and kind. The attention to detail both in terms of the design, service and dining experience is exceptional. It’s a joy to be cared for by people with such a strong vision and the ability to execute it

3-5/5 rating.Spent two nights at this lovely spot with my husband. The good: beautiful property, beautiful views, beautiful rooms, great beds, a nice pool, and generally helpful staff who want to ensure you have a great time in Tuscany. However, unfortunately, the F&B leaves a lot more to be desired. There are generally not enough waiters working in the mornings for breakfast and while the quality of the food is high, the selection is very limited and you’re left waiting a while for coffee. The dinner menu is also limited and quite pricy, but to be fair, the quality and taste of the food is good. I do have to say they have an exceptional wine list.Overall, we had a pleasant stay but wouldn’t rate this a luxury property due to these gaps addressed above.

This is not a 4 star trip. It is a 5 star experience.As soon as you drive up onto the property, you are met by staff who welcome you in. The rooms are beautiful, the staff are attentive and friendly. Everything is perfection.My recommendation is take advantage of the staffs local knowledge. We had some incredible meals in the area thanks to them!We will be back..

Un luogo incantevole in Val d'Orcia, curato nei dettagli, con ristorante, piscina, yoga e massaggi e altri servizi. Ho collaborato con la Locanda per lezioni yoga e massaggi e ho trovato professionalità e cortesia del personale.

Luogo del cuore : questo posto rimette in pace col mondo. I ragazzi tutti gentilissimi e disponibili sanno allietare e rendere il soggiorno super. Ottima cucina. Colazione molto fornita. Non so se riusciremo a tornare per il terzo anno di fila, ma quello che so è che torneremo ofni volta che ci sarà possibile. Paradiso in terra. Grazie per i due giorni che ci avete regalato.

This is the gem to go to in Tuscany. The service was beyond excellent, everyone has passion for what they do and extremely kind and attentive. The views andProperty are insane and beautiful!!! Honestly no other place does it justice (having been to several other hotels) this is as good as it gets and as authentic as it gets. The pool, the people, the food and location 100/100

Un luogo veramente bello e rilassante. È la seconda volta che vengo e probabilmente ci sarà una terza.Qualche problemino c'è sempre, ma con quello che costa dormirci è veramente fastidioso, ma viene subito risolto e questo è importante.La colazione a buffet è abbondante e buona, anche se ripetitiva.Siamo nella Val D'Orcia e io che sono vegetariano ho avuto qualche intoppo, ma non è grave, ci sono abituato. Comunque ai vegetariani sconsiglio di mangiare sul posto. Il pranzo e la cena non sono inclusi, ricordatelo.Però consiglio a tutti di fermarsi anche solo per una notte.

This place is pure paradise - the location is ideal, the surrounding views are stunning, the rooms are cozy and rustic and the food is local and fresh. But besides all that, the thing that really makes this place special is the staff. They truly take pride in what they do and are passionate about running such a beautiful locanda. Whether it's bringing you little treats while you lay at the pool or remembering the way you take your coffee, they go above and beyond to make your stay memorable. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in this region.
