DO NOT USE THIS AGENCY! THEY WILL SCAM YOU. Was charged a 150 euro cleaning fee, then when the landlady came she charged us an extra 100 because the floors needed mopping. Came two days before our contract was up, took all lightbulbs and AC remotes.

Be careful of this agency, they take a fee to do nothing. They do not act as agents but more of a hostage company- when issues arise they do not contact or communicate with the tenants and have a very unprofessional system of throwing random staff at you without identification and insisting on contractual obligations which are imaginary and not applicable in context.Another tenant I spoke too had the same problem, they even insisted she stay in an apartment with a huge mold problem and that it was not a health and safety issue until she threatened legal action.Better to deal directly with landlords in Florence!

I don't have any specific experience with Florence and Abroad, but I do have experience as an ex-pat in Florence, including searching for a home. As low in your trust list as you may place real estate agents in the U.S. (quite low in mine, and I speak with full knowledge. I became a real estate broker after returning form Italy and retiring from the corporate world), you may want to leave room below that for those in other countries, including Italy. So you might as well adjust your expectations. However, I never found the examples of dishonesty described in these comments. Lack of what we could call professionalism, competence, knowledge, yes. But I can't say anyone was dishonest with me.One thing I can say about Florence and Abroad agency is that their web site is terrible. It provides zero information about properties. They don't say who their agents are. Again I find this typical of many services in Italy and other countries in Europe. There is a reluctance to provide details, prices, etc, on the illusion that it will force potential clients to contact them. They couldn't be more wrong, particularly as it pertains to American clients. My advise to them is that the open up and use their web site for all it's worth.At the time I lived there there was no such thing as an MLS so you were pretty much on your own and you had to contact several agents (who were competing with each other as opposed to cooperating, and would give you different prices for the same property) so you could get info on all the potential properties.Other than that, I wish you buona fortuna, and enjoy Italy. It is a wonderful country!
