Residenza San Calisto

My family and I stayed at the hotel for a week. This place is extremely cozy. The rooms are very comfortable and well maintained. The location is really good as it is in the center of Rome. It is quite easy to get to the main places of interest all on foot because they are not too far from the hotel. The staffs here are too kind and always available for assistance.

I've been here for a business travel. Lovely place, big, quiet and clean room with lots of useful things (like USB wall ports, for example). I found always really kind people at the reception and breakfast was good.The location is great as well, you are in the city center, near a lot of wonderful places to visit. The neighbourhood is full of cool and typical restaurants and places to have fun all night if you like.Recommended!

Stayed here eight nights, and loved every night of it!Room:We stayed in the second floor (i.e. ground, first, second floor) apartment attached to the main building. As I worked remotely for part of my stay, having the extra space with a dining table, small desk, and full kitchen (on top of a queen bed and full bathroom) was a relief. The interior was clean and modern, with helpful small touches like a universal outlet in the bathroom (built into the hair dryer), plenty of power outlets, USB-A power outlets by the bedside, and a good AC unit. All the windows insulated against sound very well - we were never disturbed by the sound of music being played in the nearby squares, or diners at the nearby restaurants/bars. Our rate didn't include breakfast (I think they weren't doing breakfast in general because of covid-19), but that wasn't a problem given that you can easily grab an espresso and a pastry for ~2 Euros most places, and nearby stores (including a Conad supermarket) stocked everything you could need. I'm still surprised that we paid such a reasonable rate for such an excellent room.Service:Housekeeping came by every three days and refreshed the towels, made the bed, etc. - all very good. The reception (complete with a proper lobby and what not) was regularly staffed, and the receptionist was easy to reach and shared helpful tips (like that you can pick up a local SIM card at most newsstands and tobacconists, which will almost certainly be a better deal for getting data on-the-go than using an American phone plan's roaming). As an example of the responsiveness of the service, our room had one problem - after ten minutes or so, the AC would start to drip into the floor. We told the receptionist, and within a day we had an extra towel to soak up any drips if we wanted to run the AC anyways, and someone had come by to check on the AC, and within another day it was fixed. The climate was great during our stay, but especially had we stayed during the height of summer, that quick response would've been essentialLocation:The location was absolutely amazing - restaurants, bars, pasticceria, gelateria, etc., all very near (as in, literally across the street in some instances). Public transport is also fairly near, and I found the location was within walking distance to many of the landmarks in the ancient city center. There was also a nearby supermarket (Conad), as well as smaller markets. Very helpful for covid-times was the presence of two different pharmacies, one of which we used to get a nasal swab antigen test that was accepted for our return travel to the US.

Only change towels once in our four day stay.No bottle water provided.There is a kitchen, but the gas is turned off.Overall, I feel uncomfortable with the room, which I feel creepy.Not at all will i come back.

E’ un piccolo e splendido albergo nel cuore di Roma, in posizione strategica per visitare il centro storico.Ormai da anni ci mando gli amici e i parenti che arrivano a Roma e che non riesco ad ospitare avendo casa piccola e ne rimangono tutti soddisfatti.Belle stanze , pulitissime. C'è anche un giardino interno delizioso.Il personale e’ molto gentile e soprattutto segue gli ospiti con cura.Ottima anche la colazione.K

Cozy hotel in the middle of Trastevere. The location was great and the staff was helpful. We really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely recommend it.

Best hotel in Rome! Located in the Trastevere neighborhood just across the bridge from the city center. This boutique hotel can not be beat for the value,location, and service.Our stay was absolutely perfect,the ambience of this place brings the experience full circle and the owners are just the nicest.The location is to die for with easy access to Rome during the day and probably the best restaurants in all of Rome located within this neighborhood.Highly recommend and is the only place I would stay when visiting Rome.P.S. The only complaint would be the layout of the hotel. The rooms are attached from an interior courtyard and this could be problematic in high season if other guests were to utilize this space as the windows from the room are not sound proof and you would hear everything coming from the courtyard.

Stayed here for about a week. Trastevere is an amazing and lively neighborhood with some of the best restaurants in central Rome. Room was clean and in good condition, though the bed was a bit firm for my tastes (this, however, is commonplace in Europe in my experience.) The one-bedroom apartment comes with a fully-equipped kitchen and washing machine which is great for longer stays.Staff was friendly and welcoming and all around it was a great experience. Highly recommended if you want to stay somewhere a little more off the beaten track.

Residenza San Calisto was the perfect place for us in fascinating Trastevere. Christiana was very organized and gave excellent professional service before and during our stay. She was very sympathetic and helpful when I suddenly needed to leave after my mother had a heart attack in the States.She and her staff then were key to helping my husband and his cousin -both 75 & hopeless with snartphones- finish the remaining 7 days of their religious Pilgrimage. (As I had been the guide'.)"

Location, location, location. This was the cutest hotel in a great location in Roma. We loved Trastevere and Residenza San Calisto is perfectly situated and still close enough to the city center to walk to comfortably. There is public transportation and taxis nearby as well. While they didn't have breakfast available, there were several great close cafes to get coffee and breakfast. They set me up with travel from the airport and they were very communicative and accommodating via email. We had a quadruple room, a Queen bed and two bunkbeds. It was comfortable and had ample storage space. We had a busy schedule so we didn't spend much time lounging in the room but it was comfortable if we had chosen to do so. Alessia and Cristiana were helpful in any recommendations and available via text or phone if there was a problem. We would stay here again.
