Mountain View Lodge - TLF

Definitely one of the nicer hotels I’ve stayed in when it comes to DoD lodging. My biggest complaint is the best is extremely uncomfortable. It’s clearly old and hasn’t been flipped in a while. I don’t think it can because there seems to be a pillow top on it but it could be rotated. The bed sinks in certain places.

Made my reservation 4 months out from PCS. Checked in at opening, everything went smooth. Sold my car, went to that last day of work, got back to the hotel at 6 where they promptly gave me an eviction notice, due to more important guests requiring a room.So, they will be willing to kick you out, make you homeless, leave you stranded without means to get to an off base hotel... would have given them a lower rating, if only I could.

When I called to make the reservation the lady was overly rude about having orders when I checked in. She could have just told me make sure to have a copy of orders, instead of you better have orders." I am 41 y/o and not a child. After checking in I washed my hands in my room and picked up the towel in the picture below with the fake eyelash stuck to it. The front desk was very nonchalant

As far as Air Force Temp Lodging goes, this is the best hotel I've been in. There were two rooms even in the section that did not have cooking facilities. The location was good as well, and the 24 hr front desk came in handy. The laundry room was in decently good repair, and there was a lot of detergent left by other guests that was free to use.The room got a bit hot, though. There was a thermostat in the room, but I couldn't get it to work.

Its decent. The professionalism of the staff beats the cosmetic issue of the building we're in. It's not appealing with some of the ceiling missing. The rooms are very cozy, comfortable and very accommodating. We had one with 2 rooms and another with 1. They are both equally nice. What beats it all, is the view of the mountains! Walking distance to bx, commissary, post office, etc. Definitely recommend if you're stopping in to vacation...definitely remember it's for base access only.

Definitely one of the better military lodging areas I have been to. There is a 24/7 front desk and that comes in handy for anyone arriving early or late night. This place definitely gets filled up fast so call in advance and try to reserve a room.Within 10 minutes walking distance you can reach multiple locations. Such as the gym, BX and Commissary even a few other spots to get a quick bite or a drink.The room is a bit outdated and if you have the original US to EURO adapters you will notice they may get stick in the walls. Just be careful with that piece. Also there is no outlets close to the bed by the lamps. Only along the walls. The fridge is pretty new and the room comes with a microwave. Ottimo hotel, peccato che si trova nelle basi americane in Europa, quindi non si può accedere...

Came back as retiree visitor. What a change. Area 1 is pretty much gone and all is at the flight line. The lodge was big, clean, and at a perfect spot. Ultra modern. That old military feel is gone. Just amazing to me at least.

Room was nice and the service was great! the shop at reception is super handy if you need a beer or some snacks etc.Room massive but very clean and more then enough for just myself. My views where fantastic to and easy for me to get to and from my Place of work.Staff were lovely and helpful aswell as friendly and polite.
