We did two tours with Francesco to Montepulciano and Chianti regions. We had an amazing time and Francesco was very knowledgeable about all different kinds of wine. We really enjoyed our time and learned so much over the two days! Booking was easy and they were able to accommodate us even though we had some late changes in our itinerary. We would definitely work with Francesco and Do It In Tuscany again!

I must begin by noting that several years ago, my wife and I went on a wine tasting that included a tour of Baldetti Winery, a tasting of their excellent wines and a lunch with the Baldetti family. We were therefore quite pleased to find that our cooking class would be at Baldetti Winery, and led by no less than Mrs. Baldetti.Francesco, who arranged the class, served as our driver, sommelier, and translator. We found him to be friendly, personable and very knowledgeable, not only about wine, but about food as well. There was a tour of the winery, and an excellent talk by Francesco about wine and wine pairing. I do not pretend to be an expert when it comes to wine, but nor am a novice. I learned a great deal, improving my skill at tasting/evaluating wines, but more importantly, how to better pair different wines with particular dishes.Francesco limited the numbers of attendees in the cooking class to four. We have been to several cooking classes in Tuscany, all with six to eight attendees. We enjoyed them and learned from them, but with that number of students, each person was assigned different tasks, and thus, no one had hands-on experience with all aspects of the meal preparation. With only four students, Mrs. Baldetti assigned each of us to do everything, with Francesco translating and elaborating on her guidance. Each oh us had direct, hand-on experience in creating the entire meal. This was far superior to the other cooking classes.Under the guidance of Mrs. Baldetti and Francesco, the meal came together with perfect timing. Francesco served, and discussed the wines we had with the different courses, while we ate. The meal and the entire experience was excellent in every way. Thank you, Francesco!

A tour is always expected to be routine and seldom to be exceptional. But exceptional was what our tour escort, Massimo, gave us. Everything was perfect, from the time he picked us up with lovely music playing and beautiful Tuscan Hills in the background to his narrative as to what we were seeing. Then, the winery tours, the proprietors we met, the delicious luncheon and kindness of the people to share their wines and help us understand the process to make their wines memorable.Massimo wanted to show us the whole countryside on the return to our hotel. We never could have experienced anything like this on any other tour. We returned home with memories that can never be erased.And, to top it off, he took a selfie with us and the proprietor of the winery that we will treasure forever. He gave us a personal touch and made it very memorable! It was really the highlight of our trip. Too bad we can't go beyond 5 stars because we would!Joanie & Dennis

Our favorite experience on our first trip to Italy was having Francesco as our tour guide. He was so knowledgeable about wine and food pairing, and knew exactly how to show us true Italian culture without getting swept up in massive crowds. He was so kind and hilarious, and treated us like family! We will definitely be back and we will definitely work with Do it in Tuscany, Federica and Francesco again. 10 out of 10 recommend this company and these people!!

We spent two days with our tour guide Francesco, touring 3 wineries and Montelpuciano on Day 1 and 2 wineries on Day 2. His knowledge of wine and the region were incredible and we learned a lot. He was fun, friendly and he went out of his way to make sure our experience was memorable. Cannot say enough about what an amazing experience we had!

Our stay from start to finish was amazing thanks to the staff at Do it in Tuscany. We worked with many people to plan our trip, all of whom were extremely helpful and quick to respond before and during our stay in Cortona.I highly suggest that you plan a cooking class and tours before your visit. There are a variety of options to choose from and working with Federica made the planning aspect super easy.We did a Tuscan cooking class with Federica and Chef Christina that was absolutely marvelous. The class was easy to follow for all cooking levels and the food came out delicious. It was a true immersive experience into the Tuscan kitchen.We also did an olive oil tour as well as a wine tour of Montalcino. Both of those tours were led by Francesco. The tours were very educational and engaging and the products we tasted were very tasty! Having Francesco as a tour guide is what really made our tours so special. He is a sommelier who shared his expertise with us and taught us how to truly appreciate the wine and how to drink it. He brought us to a variety of vineyards that showcased the Tuscan region of Montalcino and allowed us to appreciate the wine, the process of winemaking, as well as the beautiful landscape. And if you are in cortona for a few days, do not hesitate to ask the staff for recommendations on food in the area. Some of the best restaurants we dined at came from their suggestions...they are locals so trust them! They know what they are talking about.This company made our stay so enjoyable and we will definitely be back for another visit and we rebook with Do It In Tuscany.
