The Cooking Lab
Luca and his cooking class are exceptional and absolutely worth every penny. He offers you an experience you’ll never forget, and its so personal! You’re invited into his lovely home and his life. He tells you exactly what to do and it isn’t over complicated. He’s extremely friendly and makes you feel at home. I chose this course cause it felt small and intimate and that’s exactly what I got. Luca is the best and I’ll definitely be back for some more cooking lessons.

The most amazing experience you can ever imagine. I wish I could give Luca 10 stars. I actually had a private experience learning his art of cooking two types of pasta and tiramisu in his beautiful home. Afterwards we had dinner together in the dining room. I felt more like a guest with my friend. You must experience this while in Florence. He is an amazing chef, teacher and Italian gentleman. Don’t miss this!!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Our day at the Cooking Lab has been one of the best experiences we have had in Florence. Luca is an amazing host, and he does not only spread passion (and knowledge!) for the Italian cuisine, but also for people. We have enjoyed delicious, authentic food and shared lots of laugh. I was surprised by the quality of the ingredients and by Luca's sense of humour, which made cooking together even more fun. He has also a really nice website, from which it is super easy to book a class and you can get lots of information on what you can do at the Lab. I am now looking forward to try one of the recipes at home. Thank you Luca!

I had the most amazing cooking class last Summer with Luca. It ended up being a 1 on 1. We made the most amazing Italian pasta & tiramisu. Luca was so kind, helpful and patient! He also gave me the recipes and methods for the food we create so I could make it here in Australia.I have recommended him to anyone I know that saids they was to go to Florence! I’ll definitely be going back when I return to Florence in the future!Thank you Luca!

Luca was a tremendous host. We started by going to the local market to buy our produce. This gave us a great feel for how the local people of Florence go about preparing meals for their families. Once we got the produce we went back to Luca’s home and started cooking our three course meal. Luca was very good at showing us how to prepare the food as well as explain why the food needed to be prepared in certain ways. After the meal was cooked we had a lunch with Luca and his wonderful family. After the meal we sat around the table in typical Italian fashion and had great conversation about arts, sciences, and difference/similarities between Italy and America. Overall excellent experience and highly recommend to anyone looking for a personal cooking class.Appetizer: prosciutto wrapped and stuffed fried pizza dough ballsMeal: potato gnocchi with fresh cherry tomatoes and burrataDessert: tiramisu

We had such an amazing night cooking with Luca and the Cooking Lab. We are a family of 4 with two teens and everybody had so much fun. This was a huge highlight of our trip to Italy. With Luca’s guidance and expertise, we learned how to cook cacio y pepe pasta, gnocchi with pesto sauce, and biscotti cookies. Like other reviews have stated, it was a pleasure to cook in Luca’s personal kitchen and dine with his family. It was such a personable and authentic Italian experience. I would absolutely cook with Luca again. Luca is extremely personable, knowledgeable, and loves to teach and entertain. Do not hesitate to book an amazing night with Luca and the Cooking Lab!!

Taking a cooking class from Luca is a one-of-a-kind experience that was worth flying from Los Angeles to Italy for! Our expectations were blown away with everything. From the expert attention to detail, to the informative explanations of the process and ingredients, it was such a special evening and meal. While the dishes we made may seemed simple, Luca highlighted the brilliance of Italian cooking - it’s the precise attention to detail and the process that yields such a delicious result. We feel so lucky to have learned from Luca! Highly recommend this cooking class experience if you are in Florence.

The single best review I can write is that Luca managed to get a thumb up from my son, who is a super picky eater.We were a large group with different requests (one vegan, one gluten free) and Luca managed to accomodate all of us.
