After exploring Italy for 7 days, we fancied a change in cuisine. We love mexican food back home so was rather excited when we found this restaurant. We arrived at 19:45 and when we walked in it was busy which was a good sign. Initially we spoke to a lady at the bar who began to explain that they were very busy and apologised that they couldn't fit us in. We told her that was ok and we were prepared to leave as we had found an Indian restaurant online as backup if this happened. Her male colleague then rushed over and told us he could seat us until 9:30, we thanked him and sat down. We were given menus and it took at least 20 minutes for our order to be taken. We ordered veggie nachos, the veggie burrito and the cheese quesadilla between the two of us and 2 beers. It took some time for our drinks to come but they were followed by the nachos soon after. These were not your typical mexican nachos. The cheese sauce was poor, they had lots of rice on and were cold. Edible but disappointing, we thought maybe this was their take on them. Our burrito and quesadilla arrived and we began to cut these in half so we could share. The quesadilla had chicken in and with us both being vegetarian this was not a welcomed mistake. However after finally tracking down the waiter, we explained this to him and the took this back for a fresh one to be made and apologised. It was clear that the staff were run off their feet. We also requested hot sauce which we had to ask for again twice. The burrito was filled with iceberg lettuce and chopped up tomato, again not to a Mexican standard. The quesadilla was fine but better salsa would have improved it for sure. After finishing we just wanted to pay and leave. A group of 12 people got up to pay at the bar but we were happy to wait in line. Whilst waiting, it was evident that the 3 staff on were not allocated specific jobs, rather running around to the next job before finishing any task. The group finished paying and left. It was now our turn and the waiter then took someone their food. After arriving back to the bar he began to serve another lady who had only just arrived to pay. Her card was declined twice and in between he walked off to clear tables and serve drinks. Finally we'd had enough and complained that we just wanted to pay so we could leave, especially after being served the wrong food. The waitress apologised and shared some disgruntled words to her male colleague and then provided us with a bill. I checked this and saw we had been charged for chicken. I raised this because it cost more and explained my frustration as they already had served us meat as vegetarians. She then argued with us that they cost the same and after checking the menu realised we were right. We finally left feeling extremely frustrated, we'd have rather have gone elsewhere as it was very clear they cannot manage their workload. Sadly we do not recommend this restaurant, it is short staffed and the overall quality of food is poor.

Good food. Try the Macho Nachos which are a meal in itself. The carne asada burrito is also very good. Owner is very nice and always helpful. Good margaritas!

Ristorantino messicano molto carino e molto buono a Venezia.

Molto carino e cibo buono. Ciò nonostante è in puro stile messicano.

Ordered 2 roasted chicken burritos, nothing like we expected, nothing Mexican about them whatsoever, more of a large spring roll, stuffed with a lot of shredded lettuce, SOME chicken with a small spoon of guacamole on one end and a few diced tomato on the other, sorry will not return...no passion in the food at all, certainly no spice, playing I think what was jazz ( Italian ) really lacked atmosphere

We stopped here to eat and take a break from pizza and pasta. Really good Margheritas. Nachos were delish even though the cheese sauce didn't taste super cheesy. But their were enough other flavors going on that they were still amazing. Burrito is Mexican-ish. The don't add rice and instead use maybe which makes it a lot lighter. Service was friendly!
