Linda Sorgiovanni assisted with a trip we took to Rome and Naples about 5 years ago. She arranged hotels, guides and even a very experienced art guide for us in Rome that resulted in us adding many pieces to our personal collection. Linda did such a fabulous job that we decided to use her services again when we returned to Italy in the Fall of 2022.Her knowledge of Italy in addition to the fact that she lives there and also travels throughout the country regularly is a huge plus in arranging a one-of-a-kind experience. We did the San Lorenzo Market Tour in Florence with Linda and had such an amazing time! We try to partake in a food tour in every city we visit, and this ranked right up there with the best ones we done. Even though we were jet lagged, having just arrived the day before the tour, we had so much fun and tasted an amazing array of delicious food in the market. Linda was so kind and generous, and she was a fount of knowledge about the food, the market, and the city. We can't recommend her company enough!

I highly recommend Italy Customized and the Florence Foodie Tour. We had the pleasure of doing this tour with Linda the day we arrived in Florence. Linda is very friendly and great company. We really liked doing this tour the day we arrived to help us get a bit oriented in the city and try some delicious places to eat. Linda also pointed out artisan shops as we walked which added to the interest. Later in our stay we returned to some of the food and artisan shops that we learned about from Linda because we liked them so much. Linda was an incredible guide to the wonders of food in Florence. She customized a food tour for my family, including accomodating for celiac needs. We had a fantastic time on our tour, Linda's love for Florence and food was infectious, we sampled the delights of the region, including cheese, wine, olive oil, sandwiches, gelato and even met some local artists. My wife and myself booked our private guide Laura through Linda, who came highly recommended by friends. All communication with Linda was prompt, helpful and totally professional. We met guide Laura at our hotel in Florence and had an amazing time exploring some of the more hidden places in the city. Laura's knowledge on history, art and answering general questions was 'top notch'. We could not have had a more wonderful Italy experience than the one planned for us by Linda Sorgiovanni of Italy Customized! She really listened to what we wanted and planned a number of outstanding and unique experiences for the four of us. The tours were outstanding, the drivers were prompt and courteous, our dinners were booked in advance at wonderful restaurants in both Rome and Florence. As an artist, one of the highlights for me was a paper marbling class at a fourth generation store where they restore books, marble the covers, make paper, et. We visited a shop which repairs stained glass for the Vatican, picked up some beautifully designed glass pieces, picked up marble mosaic squares for projects, and much more. We stayed at terrific hotels in great locations. Linda communicated with us daily via WhatsApp and before we left Florence she met us near the Duomo and treated us to coffee /drinks. She was flexible with our schedule, adjusting when needed. The agency app provided itineraries, train tickets, instructions, names of guides, where to meet, eliminating any uncertainties. Vineyards, wine tasting, Pompeii, Villa Medici, the coliseum, the Forum, the Vatican and much more…it it was a fabulous experience. Thank you Linda!

Linda and a colleague hosted three separate tours for groups of family members in town for a wedding in Florence. We LOVED these tours - truly, the best food tours we've experienced in years of travel. Linda is warm and incredibly knowledgeable and just a delightful person in every way. I would recommend the market tour, as the market is such a unique setting, but the Florence Foodies Walk was great fun as well. We were treated to visits with the owners of tiny establishments, who clearly adored Linda. During the market tour, our group feasted on the delicious (and generous portions) of cantucci, Florentine prosciutto on toast, porchetta sandwiches, ravioli and cannoli ... with vin santo and wine and Aperol spritzes. Truly a fabulous experience - HIGHLY recommended.
