I really enjoyed studying English teaching at TEFL Tuscany. The teachers were highly knowledgeable and supportive. It was an invaluable experience that I would recommend to potential students looking for an intensive and immersive TESOL/TEFL certificate.

Every journey begins somewhere, a place where we seek to make major changes in our lives – we either change careers or learn a new skill and my journey is no different. I was made redundant in 2020 in a career that spanned over 15 years in IT that was directly related to my career in hospitality before that for more than 15 years. I contacted Global work and Travel and by the end of 2020 my dream was coming true, I was leaving for Italy in August 2021…At the beginning of September, I joined a group of similarly minded people in a country house at the foothills of some of the most stunning countryside in Tuscany and so began my TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) training.I would love to say that for me the journey did not come with challenges because it did and I would love to say there were no tears but there were many – you see this was something new for me and I was pushing myself outside of my comfort zone – travel comes easy for me because I have a passion for it and have been travelling all my life but I didn’t really know if I had a passion for teaching but it turns out I do.TEFL is challenging and TEFL is tough but hey it’s supposed to be because we are entrusted with the role of teaching others including children our native language. Teaching assignments are a plenty and there is a lot of reading and preparing and immersing into this course but it’s also just one month of my life and after that I have a skill that will take me all over the world teaching or perhaps I will buy a small cottage here in Tuscany and teach at a local school, regardless of where this journey takes me, I now have a qualification that is recognised all over the world and I got to do it in Italy! Swoon! So, there were challenges all the way through for me as I learned a new skill but I also got to meet and be mentored by some incredible teachers that have inspired me since – Mishaela, Maria, Peter, Francessca, Natasha and Kristin you helped me find a path to teaching and I appreciate all your wisdom and knowledge.Kristin thank you for creating a school for us to learn in and I thank you for all the support and encouragement and mentoring along the way and for going above and beyond to ensure that I gained the best experience in becoming a TEFL teacher.Thank you TEFL Tuscany for helping make my dreams come true!

Complimenti Mattia ...
