Currently my family is in South Africa, having moved from China. We were meant to stay for a year and joined the United Jewish Community with Rabbi's Zekry, Friedman and Greenblaum. It's an excellent community newly built high on the Ridge of Umhlanga Rocks, Durban, overlooking the Indian Ocean. I moved into the beautiful shared community and placed my three children at the Akiva College. We arrived just as the Covid pandemic started and decided to stay until we could travel again. My husband is currently on a project in Vietnam, and I don't know what I'd have done without the kindness and support of fellow members of the community and the wonderful teachers. We're not yet decided if we'll be returning to Asia or back to Italy, as my husband is Italian and after many years of travel, he's been a little homesick.
