AST bus stop

This bus stop (Viale Europa) only goes towards Catania.For all other departures, the bus stop is on the beachfront @ Via L.M. Pietrenere, 9, 97016 Pozzallo.The bus times change every month or so, so check before you need to wait.

Tickets for the bus must be purchased from the nearby Stationary Edicola Blanco in CASH, BEFORE boarding the bus.At time of writing (18 Aug 2022) there are buses to Catania at 9.30am and 11.30am.I only just made my 9.30am bus to Catania after disembarking the ferry at 8.35am.If you are coming from Virtu Ferries Malta service, be aware that even though the ferry is supposed to arrive at 8.15am it can be late, takes a long time to disembark and getting a taxi here is difficult (It is almost impossible to get a taxi or Uber in Pozzallo as it's a really small town, unless you order one while you are still disembarking and have them wait). The other option is there's a mob that run big vans, cram as many people in their vans as possible and charge €5 per seat to ferry you the 5 minutes to the AST bus stop (they also take 25-40 minutes to fill their vans full of people).
