Great setting with a view of the ocean. Service was really good, friendly, helpful and fast. But the food was average which is a shame. I have been eating steak all through Italy, thinking that these people KNOW how to do a good steaks. This steak however, tasted like it was sous vide / boiled, and although relatively tender, lacked flavour and tasted watery, and the potatoes tasted too “herby” and overpowered everything. The squid with anchovies and crustaceans came out and was like a fisherman’s basket but with no sauce so was dry and boring. That said, the wine was amazing. Overall… despite good service, view and wine, I doubt I would have dinner again here… maybe I’d come back and try the pasta…

Decided to go here mainly because it is air conditioned. The menu did not stick out to be unique compared to all the other restaurants in this town. We ordered the sea bream Ligure style(first photo). It was pretty good. The second photo is papparedelle with lobster, tomatoes and basil. The pasta was so mushy and over cooked it broke apart just picking it up with a fork. Very shameful of this restaurant to serve pasta like this. We also brought it to the attention of the waiter and he said it's because it's fresh pasta. We are in Italy! We are expecting the best of the best pasta. We have never had pasta so bad in an Italian restaurant in Canada. Very disappointed.

Ottimo ristorante con vista mare a Santa Margherita Ligure, a due passi dal centro e a pochi minuti in auto da Portofino.Le pietanze sono prelibate e curate nel dettaglio, il personale è attento, gentile, accogliente e disponibile. Di certo non è da considerarsi economico ma la bontà dei piatti e le persone che ci lavorano lo rendono unico e speciale! Consigliato!
