Ristorante Velando
Velando came highly recommended and rightly so. The spinach salad with fried egg was excellent. And the Rigatoni pastas (perfectly al dente) we had was so delicious, yum. The tiramisu with homemade savoiardi was the best I’ve ever had. Definitely a must go! Thank you for a most memorable meal ❤️

If you fancy an authentic home cooked Italian meal, go to this restaurant in a quiet setting instead of those on Borgo Pio. Fennel salad with blood orange and pasta with wild boar ragout cooked with Barolo wine were both amazing!

It is a quite and relaxing place. Food are a bit pricy and not as big portion as others, but it was enough for us. The scampis was delicious and pasta too. Didn’t like the cesaer salad very much. Wine was great. General it is between 4 and 5.

Ottime pietanze: sapori delicati, atmosfera pacata e rilassante, servizio ottimo. Trale particolarità, col pane nel cestino servono anche il pane sardo Carasau. Piccolo ristorante per cene deliziose.

Delicious Food. I suggest to have dinner outside. A must to try is the appetiser with sardines and the classic pasta Amatriciana. A bit pricy but you are eating within Vatican walls. Less then 100 meters from Saint Peter Square. Bravi. ✌️

Best carbonara of my life, very kind staff and very italian atmosphere. We were looking for a place to eat just after visiting Vatican and found this place, it was one of the best meals of our Rome trip.

Primi piatti tipici della cucina romana mangiabili ma che lasciano a desiderare, da migliorare. Se volete optare per la cucina del territorio sicuramente è meglio andare altrove; per il resto il menù è interessante. Il personale è tranquillo e cordiale ma il servizio è abbastanza lento ed i prezzi sono sopra la media. Il locale è carino ma l'ambiente è a dir poco soporifero, a tratti sembrava quasi di essere in una Rsa, bagno pulito ma abbastanza piccolo.

My wife had the Risotto that she greatly desired. I had Prawns that were cooked to perfection. For desert orange bavarois. I had orange crepes and Calvados liquor that is truly exceptional. The lady who served us is the cook, server, cleaner, and lone proprietor. She probably speaks nine languages and is very personable, classy, and talented. When near Vatican City try the crepe. I am blown away by it. Sorry about few pictures. We ate everything.
