Battaglin produces some of the most elegant bikes; maybe too beautiful to ride. And meeting Giovanni the legend turned artist /designer was the highlight of our trip!

I started my wonderful journey with Alex and the other people from officina battaglin last year, after submitting my email Alex arranged an interview and outlined the models and the options. I signed up and submitted my measurements, agreed the custom sized frame measurements. A few weeks later we had another interview with Alex and agreed the colour and braze ons etc, each stage was thorough, clear and interesting. Throughout the process I received emails and pictures of my framset being built, polished, chromed and painted.I received the frameset a few months after my initial contact with the company and WOW to say the frameset is spectacular is an understatement and it rides superbly too. I would not hesitate in recommending the company and the product, a truly unique and wonderful experience from start to finish. Real craftsmen and a bicycle to treasure

Colnago, Gios, Tommasini, Masi… All of them encouraged to buy their newly built famous bike frame. Some of them already packed the frame. Just like to go to a sport store, choose a bike and pay for it. Not at the Officina Battaglin!Since Marco opened the door and invited me in, I felt I am in a very special place.Battaglin’s latest bikes on the pedestal invite anybody who likes steel road bike!Giovanni welcomed me and showed me around. We speak a different language, we live in a different country, we have age difference but we have the same passion: theLove of Italian steel road bikes.Battaglin bikes combine the best steel frames from the hay days (1980-1990’) to todays latest design and technology.And more!Here not just choosing and buying a bike frame but becoming part of the building process. At the end of the day you will be getting a bike that has Giovanni’s spirit and it is an investment for years to come.

For me it's true what some people say about Officina Battaglin and their products:They are nice looking, but can't be compared with the frames of the 80s and 90s - the frames didn't reach the high quality level of this era.Did you ever ride a Colnago Super of the 80s? It's the best I have ever ridden!And I had really many bikes, for example Colnago C59 Italia, Francesco Moser Leader Ax, Colnago Master Più,...I ordered a new Officina Battaglin Collezione Speciale frameset in december 2017, got it in february 2018, got huge problems with the quality, sent it back and get a new one in november 2018. The new have also quality problems!For me the whole theme was an experience, which I didn't want to make a second time.The Collezione Speciale frameset I get is both for me: it's absolutely beautiful looking and seems to be more a jewel, than an bike.But also it's not the best quality of a steel frame and quality control isn't really existing at the manufacturer.Sloping tube at a traditional geometry, a dent, missing decal and the whole bad story...The first one had problems with the paint, the frameset was not straight and had even a rust spot!I will never order a frameset from Officina Battaglin again.I'm surprised, that two telephone calls didn't change anything for this new frame.We talked about the details, talked about an absolutely horizontal top tube, wrote about it and they confirm all details!And unfortunately I get a big disappointment... A really big!Never again Officina Battaglin!

* Truly outstanding customer service. *I only ordered a small item, there was a hiccup in the online ordering… but once Battaglin were aware they resolved the issue with grace, speed and exceptional professionalism.My next road bike will be a Battaglin!

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I have ridden my Battaglin for 7 rides ranging from 20 miles to 72 miles. First, let me confirm the build. Purchased complete package from you which included campagnolo record group set (172.5 crank set), deda handle bars/stem, deda set back seat post, look keo carbon pedals, fizik Antares R3 saddle (regular size) and Bora WTO 45mm wheelset with Vittoria Corsa Next tires (26cc). We also purchased some upgrades which included painting the handle bars, stem and seat post to match the frame’s color scheme. I weighed the bike today as shown in the attached picture and it came in at 19lbs. Three things that stood out when I first rode the bike. It does not feel like 19lbs. There is a lightness to the ride that makes it feel like a carbon bike under your body when you ride it. Engagement was immediate when I got up to accelerate but it was not harsh at all. There was just the right amount of stiffness coming out of the bottom bracket with a unique mix of comfort. This bike is built to ride on various terrain. It is one of the smoothest bikes I have ridden in a long time. On bumpy roads, the bike felt like it was gliding over the surface and there was no transfer of vibration through my arms or legs. When getting up to speeds of 25 mph and above, the bike feels very stable and seems to want to go faster based on how well it holds top end speeds. Based on the ride experience, I know I will be riding this bike for quite a while and may even order another one when I turn sixty years old.
