All in all very nice apartment, clean, cozy and welcoming. Excellent shower, good toiletries, very comfortable bed and no sounds from the neighbors. Books to read, plenty of them even, and nice decorations. The host was also very kind and helpful.Just to keep in mind that when arriving at the location we didn't manage to reach the host by phone, as his signal was very bad inside the reception. We tried several times but luckily he was waiting for us at a specific hour so he got out to look for us. I think this can easily become a problem. The toilet is not on the same level as the bedroom, and having to visit it during the night is impossible to do without waking everybody up because the wooden stairs are very noisy. Also the heat gathers up where the bed is and it gets rapidly quite hot; there is however an air conditioning that can be turned on at night to prevent that.

Nice and clean apartment, well situated in the old city of Como. Our room had a little garden courtyard, very romantic and intimate.Close to all the shopping and boutiques stores, not far for parking the car, and right above a great cafe and cake shop, great for breakfast, superb living in Como.

One word: super

This is a nice little apartment right in the heart of Como. It's a straightforward 15 minute walk from the train station, which is quite hard work if you're lugging suitcases with you!The room was very clean and tidy however some simple amenities were missing; there was no dvd player and no oven even though these were supposed to be available (there is a microwave!) and there was no iron (although in fairness an iron isn't listed on the advert). The caretaker was helpful and attentive and the bed (two singles pushed together) was very comfortable.It's position within the town however is its biggest downfall; each morning at 4am expect to be woken up by the unpleasant and deafening scraping of wrought iron on stone cobbles as the unsympathetic cafe owners begin their daily ritual of making as much noise as possible. Your reactionary angry shouts, cries of pitty and furious floor stamping will get you nowhere because the ignorant cafe owners will have already succeeded in drowning whatever energy you have so early in the morning with what I can only imagine was some kind of political talk radio, although all we were lucky to receive through the beautiful wooden floor were the bass-heavy tones of someone energetically speaking Italian at 1000 words per minute.The apartment is listed as being soundproofed although the windows are single paned and the wooden internal doors dont fit snuggly enough to drown out the noise outside which, at times, is very loud because of the inevitable flow of drunks leaving the local bars and restaurants. I would seriously advise you to bring ear plugs because you will not get much sleep otherwise!I would recommend you to stay here, despite this mixed review! You will love this place and I'm sure the owners will address the windows soon!
