Thrifty Car Rental

similar to the previous review. I booked Thrify at Pisa for mid price option. It was not great experience. Thrify provided sub standard car, which they charged me post rental (still waiting on response for the reason). AVOID THIS CAR RENTAL. There are better car rental companies. I have been coming through Pisa for last 15 years and this is one to avoid.

Be *very* careful to check the damage when collecting the car. When picking up the car it was noted there was damage to a wing mirror. Checked before driving off and yep, obvious damage to one mirror, nothing else of note. When dropping off I was told I'd have to pay for the damage to the mirror. I pointed out that the damage was noted on collection but was told no, that referred to a small mark on the other mirror. The obvious damage was definitely there on collection, but no option except to pay. Very frustrating.

I booked Thrifty and got Hertz who I always avoid because I love paying unreasonable amounts for them to pass on my details to the authorities for driving offences.... especially when they provide no-coherent details of what happened and what the money is for.I love those guys!
