G.T.I. 'Great Tours of Italy'

Everything about Simone and GTI is wonderful! He has taken my family on multiple unforgettable tours of Italy and coordinated our Italian wedding in Sorrento! The prices are great and the trips are unbelievable. This is the only company you should be using for your European vacation!

We have traveled with Great Tours of Italy twice - the Bella Italia in 2018 and the Great North Italy in 2021. Both tours were outstanding in every way! Simone Martini went above and beyond to make accommodations for me personally after a health concern and worked with our group to re-schedule our 2020 booking due to the Covid-19 pandemic. We met life-long friends on the first trip and arranged a custom 2021 trip. Hotels are comfortable and the food and wine plentiful, delicious and locally sourced. They even managed to feed my husband, the world's pickiest eater! Pricing is nearly all-inclusive and you never feel you are being nickel and dimed along the way. They conduct a nicely paced tour with no oh-dark-thirty starts. You see not only the normal attractions, but some off-the-beaten path gems. We truly enjoyed every minute of both trips and cant recommend G.T.I. highly enough. Roberta was our tour guide for both trips and kept us all entertained! She truly could not do enough for us.Well, done Simone! You run a great operation and your attention to small details is truly appreciated. Caio and mille grazie!

We just finished our second trip to italy using GTI and both times were a dream come true vacation. We loved every single minute in our tour. We were taken care of the whole time. They are very organized, the restaurants are the best, very good hotels.we were a family of 6 for our second trip and we talk about our trip all the time. We traveled in a beautiful and comfortable van, Simone and Roberta were the best guides, very knowledgeable of italy and it’s history and they make it very fun when they explain.On the first trip we were a group of 16 people and we all became friends. It was so much funWe are now planning our 3rd trip.Thank you Simone and Roberta!

I would highly recommend Great Tours of Italy! My husband and I have traveled with them twice now — we did the Bella Italia tour and the Great Southern Italy tour. We had such an awesome experience on both trips that we have recommended GTI many times and will continue to recommend them in the future. For the Bella Italia trip we traveled with family (there were eight of us) and it was so great to be able to share such a remarkable experience with our parents. On the Great Southern Italy trip, we traveled with my in-laws and some friends — there were ten of us in total. Both trips were incredible! We truly feel that the way GTI plans every detail of their tours is what sets them apart from the larger tour companies. We enjoyed the unique hotels we stayed in, the small size of our tour groups, the delicious food — all local cuisine that was specific to the area in which we were traveling - the experienced and informative local tour guides in each city, the pre-arranged excursions so we NEVER waited on a line, the comfortable departure times each morning (we never left the hotel before 8AM), not to mention our extremely professional and exceptional driver, Simone. We often tell people that we have been spoiled after our trips with Great Tours of Italy — we don’t think any other tour company could even come close to giving us what we experienced with GTI. They truly took care of every necessary detail and made both of our trips perfect in every way. We are hoping to be able to do another tour with them in the future. They are the best!!!

I traveled with Great tours of Italy three times! This company never disappointed me and I can’t believe the wonderful experiences I encountered being with this small tour company. I saw so much, ate wonderful food, and the accommodations were wonderful. Plus I didn’t have to have my luggage at the door at 6 AM and the pace of the tour allows for delving into the culture of that region! I can’t say enough about GTI. I will never travel with any other tour company when visiting Italy!

Beware this company does not stand by statements or comments made by their employees. Spoke with Francesco who stated they would return our deposit if they could fill our spots on a tour. Friends said they did in fact fill our spots but when I tried to contact the company asking if they were going to fulfill the promise that was made. I can not get anyone to respond very disappointed that they don’t stand by their word which speaks volumes about the integrity of the company

Bella Italia is a go, go, go tour. You are up and on the go from 8am through to dinner. But the pace is tailored to the group you are with. The tour sizes are 16 or less, our tour had 14 people from 3 families. Our family enjoyed our time with each person on the tour. We believe the other families made our family's adventure even more enjoyable.Days are well planned with so many things to see and then you end most days with a 4 course meal at a variety of beautiful restaurants. With all the planning done for you and done well, you get to just enjoy your travel.Our tour guide was outstanding! She was able to tailor our days to our group and still allow us to see everything. She was so knowledgeable about all of the areas we visited and just an enjoyable personality to be around.We would highly recommend Great Tours of Italy!

I had never traveled on a tour before becoming part of this one by last-minute happenstance. I was so impressed! We saw many places without feeling “hauled around.” Easy hours, comfortable van (no huge bus!), pleasant, clean hotels, and fabulous food and wine. The local guides were knowledgeable and enthusiastic; they gave us a good feel for their home turf, and I left with a real sense of each place. We were fortunate to have Simone with us. His love for Italy was apparent and contagious. Eight of us became friends quickly, making travel and mealtimes so pleasant. I highly recommend this or any of the G.T.I. tours. I hope to go with them to Sardinia soon!

This was our third vacation with Great Tours of Italy. Simone and Roberta are amazing. We were a group of six this time and went on the Northern Italy tour. The hotels are wonderful and the wine with dinner is greatly appreciated. We saw a lot and did a lot with plenty of free time and not being rushed from one place to the next. It was a great time.
