We had a fantastic experience with Cruises! Our main driver was Riccardo, who we had a wonderful time with. Riccardo treats you like a close-friend. He is happy, funny, and with vast knowledge of what we were seeing. This was not my first time in Italy but there were many things that I had not heard of before that Riccardo knew about and it was very intriguing. You’re always learning. The van was very comfortable and easy-going. As someone who gets car-sick, Riccardo would make stops and would make sure that I was feeling okay, which I very much appreciated. On our first day, he drove us to Volterra and San Gimignano, telling us many things about the culture and the history. He would then leave us to wander and explore but made sure we knew where he was in case there was an issue. The second day, we went to Cinque Terre. He helped us communicate and buy tickets and also gave us a rundown about which town we should go to. He also took us to lovely restaurants and gave us a lot of recommendations. It really was a great experience. He also arranged for other drivers, Sergio and Matthew, to help us with other drives. Sergio picked us up in Florence and drove us to Lucca. It couldn’t have been easier. I recommend them highly and an extremely happy with how our trip went!!!

I just had the immense pleasure of touring with Riccardo of Cruises on The Road in Tuscany! This was my first time to meet Riccardo and my first visit to the area around Venice and Verona! He is so funny and knowledgeable! He makes every day special with tours, and restaurants, castles, wine tastings and drives in the most beautiful parts of Italy! Our family of 6 had an incredible time seeing Florence and the Chianti region and Riccardo made sure every detail was taken care of. Riccardo thank-you for making our family vacation such a memorable time with your company. We took a family Mediterranean cruise and the private tours from the cruise line were ridiculously priced. One of my clients had used Tuscany Cruises on the Road and recommended Riccardo. Oh my gosh what a great referral. They were courteous,spoke English, native to Italy so they new how to get around and not waste time. Good recommendations for food , get you into tours faster passing up the lines of 2 hours or longer. Great Mercedes vans with AC. We were traveling with 5 and my teenage boys are all 6ft and taller including my husband. They take you to places buses cannot get too. They picked us up from the pier and it was great having them keep us on time and get us back in time before ships departure. Also just to let you know some of the ship piers are a hour and half from tourist sight. I felt with them we got to see lots more in a short period of time the ship was docked. I wouldn't do it any other way. I highly recommend this company very organized kept in contact with me through email with itinerary, the cost, very professional , knowledgeable of history (my son history teacher even learned a lot )and lots of fun.Visited June 2015

As always time with Riccardo never disappoints. Seeing him again Post COVID was a blast. He is still as funny and knowledgeable as ever. This time he picked my friend and I up in Venice we spent a few days in Choggia along the sea and then off to explore Verona. That city was a delight! A morning in San Sirmione and the afternoon along Lake Garda wrapped up our trip together. Highly recommend you book some travel time with Riccardo and Cruises on the Road in Tuscany. You won't be disappointed!

Cruises on the Road in Tuscany, by Riccardo provided a wonderful experience for my fiancé and I while we were in Italy. He organized tours, provided outstanding food recommendations, and shared his vast knowledge of the various regions we covered. We enjoyed Riccardo’s local knowledge and the comfort of his spacious van as we toured Pisa, Lucca, and the Tuscan region. Touring Lucca with Riccardo was one of the highlights of our tour, as he shared the rich history of the city and took us to local spots. Riccardo took me & a friend on an amazing day tour yesterday to Carrera Marble Mines & Porta Venere and its was just the most amazing day. He takes personal care of your needs and is very willing to think outside the box if asked. His driving is expert, especially in Italy, and he was engaging and funny with our group, which made us laugh :) highly recommend Riccardo & his Team as they are prompt & speak English very well.

I would highly recommend this company for anyone planning to visit Italy. A tour guide picked me and my family up from the airport in a very nice Mercedes van, did a mini driving tour through Rome and dropped us off at our Airbnb. It could not have been more convenient.We also had a tour guide who took us a round Rome for an entire day. Emilia, our tour guide, was so informative and truly engaged us throughout the day. We learned so much that we would not have known if we went through the tourist spots alone.When we were in Florence, we did a full day tour to Pisa and Lucca. This was one of my favorite days of the entire trip. Pisa was an awesome site to see and Lucca was a lovely city in Florence that we all appreciate. For lunch, we were taken to a wonderful family farm where the owner made her own wine, olive oil and food. We had a wine tasting, olive oil tasting and a delicious lunch.They also picked us up in Siena at the end of the trip and drove us to the Rome airport, ensuring we arrived with ample amount of time. The next time we are in Italy, we will most definitely use their services again.
